Liebster Award!

Last week I found out that I was nominated for the Liebster Award by  Nina @ The Grand Adventures of Me early this month and I am so excited.  This award is Awesome because it gives public recognition to New Bloggers.
My questions from Nina
1. If you could only celebrate one holiday a year, which would it be?
I would pick Christmas. My mother still insists that we wake up early and open presents together as a family. My brothers and I stay the night Christmas Eve and stay up watching movies. Christmas morning my mom makes us a big breakfast then we open our gifts. It is my favorite family tradition and it is great spending quality time together.
2. Which is better: the morning or the night?
Night time! I am a night owl and a recovering insomniac so I still struggle to have a full nights rest. If I have to get up early I am completely useless until I have had 2 cups of coffee.
3. If you were stranded on a desert island, who would you want to be stranded with and what is the one item you would want to have?
A smart phone so I could login in on my Facebook and use Facebook check in so someone could come get me. Now if there was no internet and the phone was useless the next thing I would pick is knife. A knife would come in handy – food, protection or carving tool.
4. Were you more interested in the Superbowl or the Bruno Mars half time show Sunday night?
I avoided watching the Superbowl but I looked up Bruno Mars’s performance on YouTube because I was curious. Plus some of his new stuff is catchy.
5. If you are a religious person, how does religion affect your life?
I am a follower of Christ.  Although I’m far from perfect I aim to make the choices that I know are right. I have made better choices because I made a commitment to growing in his word. This affects who I choose as friends, My daily interactions with people and most importantly this is changing me. I find that things that I could ignore now sit on my heart and mind. I have a conscious that screams louder than before.
6. The last thing you bought was . . .
Groceries- I made a delicious dinner for my friends
7. Do you have any embarrassing stories you're willing to share with the internet world?
Yes and eventually I will write about them on my blog but for now I pretend they didn’t happen.
8. What is your number one pet peeve?
I do not like unexpected visitors. Not that I don’t like surprises or visitors, but I have had friends or family>AKA my mother< that always stop by when I am sleeping or preparing to go out somewhere.
9. What do you prefer: movies, books, or the interwebz?
Interwebz!
10. What is your favorite season?
Fall- Not too hot or cold
11. Why do you blog?
I write to clear my mind, share my stories and to do something productive with my time.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

I am in Seattle!

The Good

The move has gone anything but smooth, but I am in good spirits. I was able to get my employment physical done yesterday, the rest of my appointments I had to reschedule for today.

The Bad

Upon arriving I was told my car decided to shut down on the side of the road. I was so worried that it was my car battery but I later found out that my car was on Empty.>WOW

*No worries I filled up my tank and my car is running just fine.

I also had to find a last minute back up for a place to stay while in Seattle.

The Ugly

My job recruiter failed to tell me he was no longer going to be working there as of last Friday. When I called on Monday I found out that a lot of my paper work was left unprocessed. My new recruiter told me that my start date has been pushed back a month. NO BUENO.

This means I had to quickly come up with a plan H because A-G all went crashing down in flames. Since I am jobless and homeless I will be driving to Spokane, WA to stay with my best friend Jackie until my start date. I will make the 5 hour drive to Spokane tomorrow… YEAH ROAD TRIP!!!
